Apples

Codru ST Group of Companies is one of the largest apple producers in the Republic of Moldova. We grow different varieties of apple trees on plantations with intensive crop systems, provided with irrigation and protection from hail. We store apples in our own warehouses, then we wash them, sort them and pack in the packaging workshop in accordance with the requirements of our customers.

Apples are certified according to the international Global GAP standard and comply with international marketing and food safety requirements.

01. Gala

One of the most popular varieties of apples in the world, Gala, is appreciated by consumers for its sweet taste, crispy and succulent pulp and intense flavor. Moreover, the Gala variety is also appreciated by specialists for its high transportability and long shelf life.

Fruits

have a spherical shape of medium size, of initial yellowish-green color which, when ripens, turns into a red color in red striated.

Pulp

crunchy and juicy, white-greenish.

Taste

sweet, slightly sour.

02. Florina

Florina variety, also called Querina, is a French apple variety that combined the apple traits of Jonathan, Golden Delicious and Rome Beauty and was bred in Angers, France. Florina apple fruits are of medium to large size, with a very attractive red-purple shell that almost completely covers the yellow background. The pulp is moderately firm and aromatic, mainly consumed fresh. Fruits are well preserved.

03. Golden

Medium-sized apple, with a slightly harsh, yellow-greenish skin. The pulp is white to yellowish, fine, succulent, crispy, sweet and slightly sour. Can be stored in refrigerated storerooms between 160-220 days.

Fruits

medium-sized to large-sized, of elongated conical truncated form, yellowish green passing by the time of maturation in golden yellow.

Pulp

fine and juicy, light yellow.

Taste

sweet, slightly sour.

Harvest time

The optimal harvesting period for Golden apples is end of September – early October.

04. Idared

A variety of apples with a rich history and worldwide recognition. The apples are red, of medium to large size, with white pulp and a specific taste. Codru ST managed to keep this variety of apples until June of the year following the harvest year.

of medium to large size, globular-flattened and globular-conical form, the color of an intense red-raspberry, sometimes with strips.

Pulp

dense, fine and juisy, white color.

Taste

sour-sweet.

Harvest time

start of september.

can be preserved 200-220 days in a refrigerated warehouse with controlled atmosphere.

05. Jonagored

Apples that have the taste of Jonathan variety, the firmness of Golden and the color due to the oscillating temperatures in Belgium. Apples especially appreciated in the cooler areas of the globe.

of large and very large size, spherical conical shape, yellowish-red, sometimes with grooves.

Pulp

fine and crispy, light yellow.

Taste

sweet, slightly sour.

Harvest time

The optimal harvesting period for Jonagored variety is the end of september – early october.

06. Mutsu

A variety of apples bred in Japan, of large size with cylindrical to conical-globular shape. The pulp is white, yellowish, dense, fine, juicy, crisp and slightly sour.

of medium to large size, conical spherical to flat shape, green at harvest time, turning into straw yellow during storage.

Pulp

crisp, fine and juicy, yellowish white color.

Taste

sweet, slightly sour.

October.

07. Renet Simirenco

A variety of bright-green colored apples, originating in England. Is characterized by a medium size and globular shape, sometimes flattened. The color of the pulp is yellowish green, depending on how long it has been stored after harvesting.

crisp, fine and juicy, white-green color.

Taste

sweet.

08. Champion

Variety of apples, bred in Europe, which is characterized by a shelf life of 4 to 6 months. A very popular variety for fresh consumption due to its crisp and juicy pulp, as well as its attractive appearance.
